Product description:
LOCTITE® MR 5972 is a high-viscosity sealing paste with resin, isopropanol and fillers, typically used on gaskets, flanges, and threaded connections, aircraft heating systems, manifolds, pipe fittings, steam lines, gearboxes, and covers. It easily applies to cork, paper, plastic, and metal surfaces. It remains flexible and resistant to a variety of oils, fuels, grease, and chemicals.
Steps to achieve the best adhesive results:
1. Clean and dry all surfaces. Use LOCTITE SF 7063.
2. Apply LOCTITE MR 5972 onto both surfaces and spread with spatula or putty knife.
3. Assemble parts immediately while still wet. Secure or tighten to recommended torque specifications.
4. Allow 3 to 5 hours before using equipment.
5. Re-torque will not be necessary after the product has cured.
Storage:
Store product in the unopened container in a dry location.Storage information may be indicated on the product containerlabeling.
Optimal Storage: 8 °C to 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or greater than 28 °C can adversely affect product properties.
Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use. Do not return product to the original container.
