Product Description
LOCTITE® SI 5699 GY is a flexible, form-in-place (FIP) silicone sealant that cures at room temperature via a room-temperature vulcanization (RTV) mechanism. The product cures upon exposure to atmospheric moisture, forming a durable, rubber-like seal. It becomes tack-free in approximately 10 minutes.
It can be applied to flexible, machined, or cast surfaces, including both metallic and plastic substrates. It provides an excellent solution for sealing flanges and rigid flange connections, such as those found in gearboxes and cast metal housings. The product performs particularly well in applications requiring resistance to water and glycol.
