LOCTITE SF 7900 Ceramic Shield - 400ml (ceramic coating)
Product description:
LOCTITE SF 7900 Ceramic Shield is a ceramic dry film protective coating for MIG/MAG welding processes. This product protects contact tips and welding nozzles by preventing adhesion of welding spatter. This results in significant longer processing times without cleaning of the welding equipment and reduction of downtimes. The repellent film of LOCTITE SF 7900 Ceramic Shield also protects against adhering spatter on jigs, fixtures or fittings, power cables, sensors, metal components and the jaws of spot welding systems. Steps to achieve the best adhesive results:
1. Surfaces to be coated need to be clean and degreased.
2. Shake can for at least 1 minute to homogenize before use.
3. Spray from a distance of about 10 to 15 cm. Apply sparingly as excessive coating thickness causes flaking off.
4. Apply at temperatures below 65°C (150F).
5. When applying LOCTITE® SF 7900 Ceramic Shield to the tip of a plasma torch / cutter, ensure the air purge is on during application to prevent the product from clogging the tiny holes around the center orifice.
6. Allow product to dry.
7. The translucent film becomes white upon evaporation of solvents.
Storage:
Store product in the unopened container in a dry location. Storage information may be indicated on the product container labeling.
Optimal Storage: 8 °C to 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or greater than 28 °C can adversely affect product properties. Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use. Do not return product to the original container. Henkel Corporation cannot assume responsibility for product which has been contaminated or stored under conditions other than those previously indicated.
