Product description:
LOCTITE MR 5972 is a slow drying viscous paste. It remains pliable and flexible and is designed to seal flanges, threaded connections and fasteners at temperatures from -45 °C to +315 °C. It can be effectively applied to cork, paper, plastic and metal surfaces. Typical applications include sealing gaskets, flanges and threaded connections, aircraft heating systems, manifolds, pipe fittings, steam lines, gear boxes and cover plates. Steps to achieve the best adhesive results:
1. Clean and dry all surfaces. Use LOCTITE SF 7063.
2. Apply LOCTITE MR 5972 onto both surfaces and spread with spatula or putty knife.
3. Assemble parts immediately while still wet. Secure or tighten to recommended torque specifications.
4. Allow 3 to 5 hours before using equipment.
5. Re-torque will not be necessary after the product has cured.
Storage:
Store product in the unopened container in a dry location.Storage information may be indicated on the product containerlabeling.
Optimal Storage: 8 °C to 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or greater than 28 °C can adversely affect product properties.
Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use. Do not return product to the original container.
