Product description:
LOCTITE 262 is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include the locking and sealing of large bolts and studs (up to M25 ). The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE 262 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate. Further information about the product: biuro@woronko-kleje.pl
Steps to achieve the best adhesive results:
FOR ASSEMBLY:
1. Clean all surfaces with degresant LOCTITE SF 7063 and let them dry.
2. If material is passive or rate of curing is too slow, spray onto the surface of the threads, activator LOCTITE SF 7471 or LOCTITE SF 7649.
3. To prevent clogging of the metering nozzle, do not let the nozzle contact surfaces during application metal.
4. Through holes: Apply a few drops of the product to the initial threads of the screw.
5. Blind holes: apply a few drops of product to the bottom of the hole.
6. Sealing: apply the product around the threads of the external thread, but leave the first roll uncovered. Apply the product so that it covers the exact threads of the thread. With larger threads and slots, you need to use the product more appropriately and also apply around the internal thread.
7. Assemble the connector and tighten as required.
FOR DISASSEMBLY:
8. Apply localized heat to nut or bolt to approximately 250 °C. Disassemble while hot.
FOR CLEAN UP:
9. Cured product can be removed with a combination of soaking in a LOCTITE SF 7200 solvent and mechanical abrasion such as a wire brush.
Storage:
While there are no other indications on the product label, an ideal way of storing it will be to keep it in closed containers in a cool and dry room.
Optimal storage temperature: + 8 °C to + 21 °C. Storage at temperatures below + 8 °C or above + 28 °C may irreversibly change product properties.
The rest of the material should not be placed back in its original container, as the product may become contaminated. The Henkel Corporation is not responsible for a product that has been contaminated or stored contrary to the indications.
